River Hawk Ranch was created to provide a more natural alternative for physical and mental nourishment, which is so lacking in today’s urban and commercial focused society. We provide healthy and delicious beef, stimulating ranch vacations and experiences, and adventurous hunts at a fair price with a no-hassle customer experience.

I developed a love and passion for shooting and hunting in my youth, first with small game and then hunting deer as I came of age. My brother and I spent long days perusing game, often coming up empty handed but always loving the adventure of the hunt. Over time I honed my hunting and shooting skills to a high level where success is much more frequent, but this has also decreased the challenge and thus excitement for me. Guiding others (many beginners) on deer hunts brought back that sense of excitement and I found teaching shooting and hunting skills to be extremely gratifying. I decided to focus on a hunting experience I cherished in my youth, which is social, exciting, family friendly, and affordable.

My favorite memories include sitting on the covered porch watching cattle graze in the stunning river valley below, star watching while enjoying a warm fire and company, exploring the many miles of trails across several distinct ecosystems, and cooling off in the San Saba River, including paddleboarding, kayaking, and fishing.
